How WTP Team Discovered Wayanad’s First Clay Experience at Mitty

Wayanad clay experience, Mitty Wayanad, things to do in Wayanad, Wayanad tour package activities, unique experiences in Wayanad, pottery experience Kerala, Wayanad Trip Planner experiences

It started as a simple plan.

“Let’s go check this place… something different in Wayanad,” someone from our WTP team said.

We’ve explored waterfalls, viewpoints, resorts, and hidden trails across Wayanad. But this time, it felt different. This wasn’t about sightseeing.

This was about creating something with your own hands.

And that’s how we reached Mitty – the first clay experience in Wayanad.

🌿 First Impressions

The moment we entered, it didn’t feel like a “tourist spot.”

It felt calm. Grounded. Almost like time slowed down.

The team welcomed us not as visitors, but as participants.

There was no rush. No checklist. Just clay… and a quiet invitation to try.

👐 The Experience

At first, we all stood around the pottery wheel, smiling awkwardly.

“Who’s going first?” 😄

One of our team members finally sat down, placed their hands on the spinning clay… and within seconds, everything changed.

The laughter faded.

The focus came in.

And suddenly, it became personal.

Each of us took turns. Some made uneven shapes, some tried to fix them, some just enjoyed the process.

And that’s the beauty of it.

There’s no “perfect output” here.

Only experience.

💬 What We Felt (Real Moments)

One of our team members said:

“We’ve planned so many trips… but this is the first time I felt like I actually did something in Wayanad.”

Another quietly added:

“This is something guests will remember… not just click and leave.”

That stayed with us.

Because that’s exactly what we look for — experiences that stay beyond photos.

🌄 Why This Matters for Our Guests

Most Wayanad trips follow a pattern:

Waterfalls → Viewpoints → Resorts → Back

But travelers today want something more.

They want stories.

They want involvement.

They want moments where they pause… and feel.

Mitty brings that into a Wayanad tour plan.

Especially for:

  • Couples looking for meaningful experiences ❤️
  • Families wanting kids to learn something new 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦
  • Friends who want something beyond just sightseeing 👯‍♂️

🧭 How We Plan to Include This in Your Wayanad Tour Package

After this visit, one thing became clear:

This is not just an “activity”.

It’s an experience worth planning around.

We’re now working closely with the Mitty team to integrate this into selected Wayanad tour packages, ensuring:

  • Proper time allocation (not rushed visits)
  • Smooth coordination with your itinerary
  • A relaxed, enjoyable session for every guest

📦 Inclusions (When Added to Your Tour Plan)

  • Entry and guided clay experience session
  • Hands-on pottery activity
  • Basic materials and support
  • Coordination by WTP team

❌ Exclusions

  • Transport (included only if part of full package)
  • Meals (unless specified in itinerary)
  • Additional customized workshops.

    🌱 A Small Realisation
  • Travel is slowly changing.
  • It’s no longer about “covering places”.
  • It’s about feeling something in those places.
  • And somewhere between spinning clay and quiet smiles, we realised:
  • This is what Wayanad needed.
  • Something simple. Real. Human.
