The Story of Gotripzee.com: From Zero Investment to a Successful Travel Company

test

Blaze Jomin and Muhammad Fayis, two young entrepreneurs from Wayanad, have an inspiring story to tell—how they built a successful travel business with just a laptop and an internet connection, starting with zero investment.

While studying in college, they came up with a simple idea: to help people experience travel differently. With this vision, they launched Wayanad Trip Planner LLP, offering customized travel packages to Wayanad. As their customers started requesting packages for other destinations, they joined hands with their friends, Basim and Aash, to establish Gotripzee.com—a travel company that provides local travel experiences, cab services, hotel bookings, and other travel-related services across various locations in India.

Though the idea struck them in 2017, the lack of capital made it seem impossible at first. Traveling itself was a luxury for them back then. However, instead of giving up, they decided to start small. With just a laptop and internet access, they worked tirelessly to design packages, build relationships with vendors, and gain customer trust.

In the beginning, they struggled to get bookings, and at times, they considered dropping the idea altogether. But they refused to give up. Instead of just selling travel packages, they focused on creating unique travel experiences. Their first few bookings turned into dozens, then hundreds, and today, they have successfully crossed over 100,000 bookings.

Currently, their company operates in 26 locations, collaborates with 30+ vendors, and has a dedicated team of 6 staff members. The journey was never easy—they faced challenges like floods, the Nipah virus outbreak, and landslides. Despite these struggles, they remained committed to providing exceptional service, building brand value, and growing their business.

Every business faces ups and downs. There will be setbacks, but those who keep moving forward with confidence and determination are the ones who succeed. You don’t need a bank full of money to start a business; what truly matters is belief in your idea and the courage to take risks.

For those who have great ideas but lack capital—start small, face the struggles, and never give up. Every sleepless night, every rejection, and every failure will only make your foundation stronger. That is the message Blaze Jomin and Muhammad Fayis want to share with aspiring entrepreneurs.
